Bring your thighs and your feet together, and slowly bend both knees towards your chest. Try to rise up on your toes as you work on your balance! Many of you know how challenging it is stay in sync with your partner through all of the whirlwinds of life. I've always prioritized my kids before my hubby. Although im beginning to realize how important it is to work on staying connected, it is still a struggle to get it all done! One way Dice and I have used successfully is to practice 'synchronized Yoga'. We will setup really close to one another and take turns talking each other through a flow. Sometimes we even come up with cool ideas for our classes but most importantly it keeps us completely present with one another. Challenge #3 : Turbo Dog Forearm Balance! --------------------------------------------- For the third day of the Hollow Back Challenge, we’re going to show you how to strengthen your upper back muscles necessary for hollow back poses! You’ll need a block for this pose. Start off in tabletop on your forearms. Lift the forearms up simultaneously while hugging the block, and move into Downward Dog . Move back and forth between Dolphin and Downward Dog to train your back muscles! One of the best ways to learn new movements is in a class-like structure, and that's exactly how I designed this plan. In order to build a solid base to grow your handstand practice, it’s imperative to work on the foundations and basic elements, so we will spend the beginning of this series developing hand and shoulder alignment and getting your core, hips and pelvis to work in unison. Once you’re ready, the plan progresses on to transitions where we will focus our attention on inversions and 30-40 minute practice flows.
