Creating a gratitude list is a great way to stay positive and present. We try to do this every day but haven't quite succeeded. So, although this is a huge commitment, we are planning on posting "one thing we are grateful for in the last 24 hours" EVERYDAY. #gratitudelist365

It's been a crazy month for our family. Taylor is turning 11 and Sydney started preschool. It's such a strange feeling when your kids need you less. The subconscious part of me is proud of their independence but what rises to the surface is sadness in the form of a ball in my throat that manifests in tears...especially when I look at this photo. It's weird to be sad and happy at the same time but beautiful to be present through it. Makes me want to add another kiddo to this incredible family. Who else is thinking about having another?

That's exactly how Yoga works it's magic in our lives. Whether it's through small moments of clarity in the mind or breakthroughs in our physical practice, it is being present in those tiny moments that truly makes life great. Because when we are present we can actually see, feel, and appreciate the beauty rather than dwelling in the darkness of our minds. Bri and I have been lucky enough to call many different yogis our teachers. One of our all-time favorites will always be @raghunathyogi. If you haven't had the chance to get to one of his workshops/retreats/classes, you're severely missing out. He's a yogi, father, husband, teacher and good friend. It is far beyond a physical practice, it is a way of life that reminds me to stay present, be kind, be compassionate, and to always share the love that the practice builds in my heart with my loved ones. It's so refreshing to be surrounded by people that not only believe this but also live it. We have come across so many yogis that hurt one another from a place of insecurity but realized quickly that we have the power to surround ourselves with good people and my incredible base in this photo is one of them!
