เพราะเหตุใดปลาของเราจึงหายไป ทะเลของเราถูกซุกซ่อนปัญหาอะไรเอาไว้บ้าง…? มาร่วมชมศิลปะจากขยะพลาสติกและเรียนรู้ถึงปัญหาวิกฤตท้องทะเลด้วยกัน กรีนพีซ เชิญผู้สนใจเข้าชมนิทรรศการแสดงงานศิลปะและภาพถ่าย “Art for the Ocean” นำเสนองานศิลปะ (Installation Art) จากขยะในท้องทะเลและจากครัวเรือน โดย Aligna (อลิญญะ) ศิลปินชาวลาว ผู้สร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะจากขยะเพื่อสื่อให้เห็นถึงหนึ่งในปัญหาของท้องทะเลในปัจจุบัน Aligna มีผลงานที่โดดเด่นจากการผลิตงานศิลปะจากวัสดุเหลือใช้ อาทิ ขวดน้ำ เศษพลาสติก หรือไม้แขวนเสื้อ เป็นงานศิลป์สวยงามอย่างดอกไม้ ซึ่งได้จัดแสดงมาแล้วที่อิตาลี ฝรั่งเศส และเม็กซิโก แต่ในครั้งนี้เขาจะรังสรรค์งานชิ้นพิเศษเป็นรูปปลา เพื่อจัดแสดงในงานนี้ และเพื่อรณรงค์ให้ตระหนักถึงวิกฤตของท้องทะเลโดยเฉพาะ สามารถชมนิทรรศการภาพถ่ายได้ในวันที่ 22-28 เมษายน 2558 เวลา 10.00 -19.00 น. และเข้าร่วม Workshop อบรมการสร้างงานศิลป์จากขยะโดย Aligna ได้ตั้งแต่เวลา 16.00-19.00 น. Student Weekly: What inspired you to hold these free talk shows? LoukGolf: I want to give something back to society. I’m a rural person, and I appreciate the fact that I’ve had opportunities that a lot of students don’t have. I think that a lot of Thai students can be good at English if they have the right inspiration. At the show, I can tell students about my own experiences, and they can then continue to practise English on their own. Student Weekly: Who should attend the talk show? LoukGolf: High school students, parents and guardians. Lots of parents and guardians spend money for their kids’ English lessons, but their kids still can’t speak English. These parents should participate in the show so that they understand the problems and can help fix them. Student Weekly: How did you feel after holding your talk shows last year? LoukGolf: I found that many students in the countryside fought against the odds to participate. One student told me that she rode on a bus for seven hours to attend the show, while others came from far away and had to spend a night at a hotel. It reminded me of when I was a kid, catching a bus to events that I wanted to attend. Student Weekly: Can you guarantee that participants will be able to speak English after the show? LoukGolf: No way. Nobody could do that. WHAT SPARKED YOUR INTEREST IN ENGLISH? I didn't love English at first; I used to hate it, actually. My English was so bad when I was in primary school. I became interested in English when one of my teachers told me that English was a universal language and that it would take me to a bigger world. I guess you can say I used English to help me get out of the small world I lived in. I'm from a very small village in Hat Yai, where being gay was frowned upon. I suffered and I needed to escape. I came to see the language as something that connected me to the bigger world. So I practised hard to be better at English, hoping that one day it would take me to that bigger world like my teacher told me. I kept practising until my English got so much better that it surprised everyone around me. I first began tutoring high school students in English as a part-time job when I was a student at Chula, and I fell in love with teaching English. After graduation, I went to the UK to further my studies and I came back to establish Angkriz. My little school is five years old now. I have to say that my life has been an amazing journey because of English.
