Acrobat in training #babySyd We aren't born with fear, we learn it through accumulated subconscious conditioning or 'karma'. It is incredibly difficult to not pass our own karma to our children but when we realize how much we affect them, it becomes a bit easier to notice our own patterns. Standing acrobatics has always freaked me out but lately, through some guidance and support from friends like @yogabeyond, @fitflexjuli, and @acrowithjon I've been working on trusting more and leading with my heart rather than my head. It feels like just yesterday when he couldn't walk on his own. Now I walk side by side with him and I see so many similarities, it's frightening, but oh so good at the same time No butt, long arms, and a lot of energy...hehe ------- Both kiddos are getting so big and growing up so fast. Taylor started 5th grade today and #BabySyd will start preschool in 2 weeks! Loving this journey with Bri, Tay, and Syd. Are you enjoying your journey? Do the things that inspire you change all of the time? Recently I'm finding myself so inspired by other couples. We recently hung out with Claudine and Honza from @yogabeyond and I was so impressed with their communication within their relationship and their respect for one another. Dice and I are always proactively working but it was so nice to see that we weren't the only ones with problems and to learn new ways to deal with one another. I guess that's why having friends is so important! Thank you Honza for this beautiful shot on Zuma beach!; -

For the past 8 years my daughter has been splitting time between her Dad's home and ours. It has always been tough for all of us but now I am beginning to see how wonderful it is for her to cultivate a strong relationship with her dad. Despite our differences, he is a good dad and loves her dearly. But, the time apart has created a trauma bond between my daughter and I and when we are together, we are joined at the hip. It's been 2 weeks since we left each other in Thailand but I'm finally on a plane to pick her up! yay! Anyone else have a life like this?; -

Acro yoga has helped Dice and I build trust and better communication. But what @theyogimatt & @chelseykorus taught us this past weekend at @iggetaway went above and beyond any tricky transition we have ever learned. They taught us how to communicate through our bodies which was so powerful for me as I always try to over control the situation. I actually got to FEEL my base move me rather than try to help the movement. Releasing control really helped me gain the confidence to trust my partner. So proud of Dice for changing roles and flying more.
