"You won't let me hibernate until it's summer again, you won't let me consume large amounts of treats daily so I can double the junk in my trunk to stay warm, and now you won't let me steal your hat to stay snuggly! There's no pleasing you humans."; -
Repost from @joshfeeneyphotography -- "Please follow @safehumanechicago and go to their page right now to see all of the Court Case Dogs available for rescue. CCD's have been victims of abuse, neglect, or were owned by someone not allowed to own dogs. Most often they come into CACC and are held in a cage while their "owner" goes to court. @safehumanechicago fights for these canine victims who have done the time but not the crime. Changing the perception of shelter dogs at Chicago Animal Care & Control through photography." -- Please check out @safehumanechicago and see how you can help these adorable dogs who need a loving forever home. #adoptdontshop #dogsarefamily; -
This is Ginny's reaction when it's cold out and she isn't wrapped up in 5 blankets on the sofa.; -
"Uh, excuse me human but I ordered a double bacontini, not a coffee! Get it right!"; -
"So I've only got to be good for 11 more days to qualify for Santa's nice list? Challenge accepted! Chewing sticks apart indoors counts as good though, right human?";

Repost from @medfieldshelter -- " PLEASE SHARE! Cash is an 8-year-old Jack Russell mix (he is mostly Jack). Cash's owners have fallen on hard times and can no longer keep him. Cash was adopted from a Jack Russell breeder and has had only ever had one home. He has been greatly loved by both owners and it is tearing them up to give him up, but one owner is going to live with a relative while the other one has gone to long term care for an illness. Cash would love a home where he can the only pet and live a similar life to what he is used to: going for good walks, sharing time on the couch and getting lots of love. Cash has some experience with children that visited but the kids in the family are all grown so he does not see kids except when out walking. In true JRT manner he is a very busy dog spending a lot of his time investigating when out walking and when riding in the car will bark at trucks that go by. " -- If you would like more information on Cash, or if you or someone you know would like to adopt Cash then please contact the amazing people at @medfieldshelter. Cash is just adorable, please share his story if you can and help him find a loving home that he's used to. #adoptdontshop; -
This is the laziest way Ginny's ever tried to chew one of her squeaky toys apart. #GinnyLive; -
"I checked the recipe and it says you should add bacon treats to this cookie mix... but don't bother checking for yourself, just believe me human."; -
I had no idea Ginny was so good at dancing 😮; -
"Sorry human, I can't even pay attention to you right now because me and Ginny Jr. are too busy being AWESOME." (@cuddleclones);

We got our Animals of Instagram 2015 calendar! I had a flick through and the photos in there are just way too cute, it's amazing to see some of the pets from the IG animal community in there. We are incredibly honoured to be included, a huge thank you to @dantoffey and @instagram for this. If you would like to get a calendar then click the link in my bio! Calendars are $14.95 and 75% of the sale price goes directly to animal protection programs of the HSUS. -- (And for those of you wondering, Ginny's day in the calendar is April Fools Day... pretty fitting for her, right? ); -
There are times when you just have so much to do... but instead you lay down and have a nap. That's what Ginny's doing here. She has so many pigeons to bark at and so many of my socks to steal and hide, but instead she's just gonna nap.; -
"Oh yes human I have been working out, thanks for noticing!"; -
There's a reason why shelters and rehoming groups for animals are very busy during the first few months of a new year, so many dogs and puppies are given as presents for Christmas with little thought to what owning a dog actually entails. A dog is a big responsibility and a big commitment, a dog is a living creature that will need to be trained correctly and loved a lot. I know many people do get dogs for Christmas and they do an amazing job loving and caring for that dog, I know not everyone who will get a dog will give that dog up to a shelter when they realise what it takes to own a dog... but the sad fact is there are dogs and pups that will be given as gifts this Christmas and then they'll be taken to a shelter just a few months later because the people giving that dog up didn't realise how difficult it may be owning a dog, they didn't realise toilet training a dog may take a very long time or that puppies can chew a lot of stuff up very quickly, so they give that dog to a shelter... or even worse in some cases abandon that dog. Again, I know many people get pets for Christmas and they love and cherish that pet for life, but for some pets this isn't the case. If a dog is on your Christmas wishlist this year then please put a lot of thought into what breed you would get and what it takes to train and care for a dog, and remember there are many, many senior dogs, dogs and puppies in shelters looking for a forever home right now, don't forget about animal adoption this time of year either. A dog is for life, not just for Christmas.; -
Ginny's her name, fetching tennis balls and then leaving a trail of paw prints around the house is her game ;
