Each Guo Pei piece that elegantly glided down the runway was like a theatrical performance in itself. Not only was each of Guo Pei's pieces completely unique and capable of standing alone within her story of the 1,002th Arabian Night, but each piece had incredible detail from head to toe- check out these insane shoes!!! There are simply no words to describe how much respect I have for Yumi Katsura who at the age of 85, says she still has so many dreams to fulfill. Not only does she have her own couture empire to run but she is completely involved in every inch of her designs- which never fail to wow the audience (more than once a collective gasp of awe rushed through the hall last night) and every aspect of her presentation. At the end of her show last night she even made a point of walking down each side of the runway to shake hands with every front row audience member. Adorable.
