Let me just say that chilling with this guy today was the best experience of MY LIFE & it makes you realise that anything in life is possible, you just have to work hard & believe in yourself! I never thought that making youtube videos would get me 63 MILLION VIEWS, or even meet my role model! Dreams do come true and I must also say that this guy is the NICEST, GENUINE MOST HUMBLE GUY I HAVE EVER MET! He may be the BIGGEST STAR in the world but he took time out of his busy schedule to chat with me & I will never forget this! He even took his own phone out and recorded his own video! He probably won't put it up but just the thought that he would be this humble and do something like that is inspiring! My very first "mainstream" magazine cover was TV GUIDE back in 1999. Back in the day when I could go out in public and no one recognize me, I remember standing at the check out aisle in a Publix grocery store down in Florida, spotting my cover in the magazine rack and thinking "Holy shit that's crazy, I'm on the cover of TV Guide!" A well earned toast... after a very intensive (and successful) #SanAndreasWorldTour, I returned back to shooting my current movie #CentralIntelligence here in Boston, where New Line & Warner Bros studios sent tons of champagne and food for our hard working crew to celebrate #SanAndreas being the #1 movie in the world. Just takin' a moment before I jump back into busy production tomorrow to recognize the most powerful voices on the planet - yours. While #SanAndreas is enjoying a record breaking weekend at the box office - #1 movie in America and the #1 movie in the world. We were always considered the "underdog" of the summer. We weren't a big franchise, not a huge Marvel movie, not based off a popular book or a Disney attraction. We're a movie about an LAFD helicopter pilot on the verge of divorce and struggling to maintain a good relationship with his daughter - when the largest earthquake of all time hits the state of California. In the end, he saves his daughter's life and falls back in love. The coolest and most important part of this whole thing is our CinemaScore of an A-. CinemaScore is Hollywoods most important measure.. it's the crucial indication of how audiences truly feel about the movie they just watched on opening night. If the grade is high - TITANIC (A+), FURIOUS 7 (A) then it means it'll have long success at the box office, because people truly love the film. This silly photo of some tattooed bald dude holding a piece of paper with scribble on it is a recognition of gratitude for the most powerful voices in the world - not the movie studios, not the filmmakers, not the movie stars or the critics - but yours, the fans.
