Big #SanAndreas DVD release day. You guys'll dig the intense special features - we shot as practically as we could - on the water in the San Francisco Bay, throughout downtown San Fran, then in one of the largest water tanks in the world - size of a soccer field - and where it was too dangerous to fly my helicopter so close to the cliff, we put our engineer hats on and did what we do best - built an entire side of a mountain. I went to repost this dope claymation vid from @azxd of my "Hittin' the Quan" post from the other day and just read this person's caption. Wow.. had no idea we even met before. Thanks for the kind words buddy and keep up the cool art! ~ DJ #TheQuanHitter ・・・ POST CARDIO BLISS I had the opportunity to meet @TheRock in 2009, I was on the Leno show for the segment "Don't try this at home" where I kicked myself in the head. I had no clue #TheRock was the guest that night until he went on. I guess being from a small town you never think you'll ever meet your hero one day. So after his interview I see him in the hall packing up his family and I just go for it. I'm trying not to think about it cause I know if I do I won't do it. Right before I get to him I think OH NO what if he's a jerk. Then he turns around and I realize I had no plan. So I just say "hey" and he does the rest. He told me I was funny, looked good, and that I did a good job. I was so excited that turned around and walked away without responding... I just wanted to thank him for being a hero, and for not being a jerk, and really cool dude. #tbt To a crazier time in my life of winning my 1st wrestling title while learning how to "hustle and cut my teeth" in Memphis. Before the bright lights of the WWE, I started my wresting career in the U.S.W.A (United States Wrestling Association) based out of Memphis, TN. I drove over 2000 miles every week to wrestle in flea markets, state fairs, high school gyms and my personal favorite - wrestling in the parking lots of used car dealerships all throughout the south. Grinding away all for a contractual guarantee of making $40 bucks a match. True story. I had no bread and nothing to lose, but willing to drop sweat and blood nightly 'cause I was doing something I was passionate about. The night I won this title, I celebrated the only way I knew how and certainly the only way I could afford - your boy at like a king at the Waffle House. The takeaway here is never forget your hard times, find something you're passionate about and go after with relentless drive.
