Shimoda is a small coastal town, nestled amongst hills, located near the tip of the Izu Peninsula in southern Shizuoka prefecture. I take a coverage tour to introduce Iwate pref for you. First of all, I visit the All Japan Wanko-soba cup in Hanamaki city. "Wanko" means a small bowl and also means a dog (bow-wow). It's a pun, hehe Wanko-soba is the local soba of the Hanamaki, Iwate and Morioka district, and is a old form of a kind of soba-noodles feast. It is requested to eat soba noodles continuously and required that should be eaten from the next to the next. "Ko" of Wanko is a dialect of this land attached to what must be loved small. Past Champions ate up more than 250 bowls! Why don't you come and give it a shot? I would like to join the treats cup for dog 今日は岩手を紹介するために取材に来たよ。まず最初に訪れたのは、花巻市のわんこそば全日本大会だよ。 わんこにワンコ、ウケるね。 わんこそばは、岩手県花巻・盛岡地方に伝わる郷土そばで、一種のそば振る舞いの古い形なんだって。そばがおいしくて何回もおかわりを次から次へと頼んだのがはじまりらしいよ。ちなみに、わんこの「コ」は小さくて愛すべきものに付けるこの土地の方言なんだって〜。どじょっこ、ふなっこ、馬っこ、わんこ Instagram @marutaro 2,610
