REPOST FROM @maximilentine -- "Please, please, can anyone foster this guy?! Save him?! I visited the Carson Shelter in Gardena, CA yesterday- just to kind of greet the dogs I guess. I keep getting pulled back there some how or another. Of all the dogs there, this guy stood out to me the most. He was freezing and shivering, huddled in the corner. It took some coaxing but he finally came to me. His name is Chewy and they believe he is about 2 years old/pitbull. I actually started crying for him, he broke my heart. He got hit by a car and was placed in the shelter as a stray early October. I noticed yesterday a big bulge above his front right paw on his leg - didn't know what it was but now I realize it's from the accident. He has a few bald spots and is limping. I had to call him a few times before he finally got up and limped over to me. His tail was tucked and would not wag. I finally got it to wag a little after cooing to him, leading him to whine. He wants out so bad. I've just discovered on a facebook page, "Saving Carson Shelter Dogs", that he is out of time! I don't know how much time he has. Please, someone save him. I wish I can foster him, but I can't. Tag anyone you know around this area that can foster or take him!!!!" -- If you know of anyone who could adopt/foster Chewy please share his details with them, or if you know of a rescue group who can save him then please share his details with them too.
