@pop_areeya : Met an angel with braided platinum hair planting flowers and trees around Potsdam Square. Not because someone hired her, because you cannot hire her passion. She moved to Luisen Platz two years ago with her German husband and saw the wind blowing the sand and lifeless town center. She grew bright flowers on her own and found local corporation to sponsor the soil and plants Smart and cheerful, she grew up in NY and San Fran with a degree in architecture. She has 5 children who are grown adults who are also into architecture, design and dance. She's 62 years young and my role model. Energetic, driven, smart and compassionate, I saw all of this when I walked up to her and complimented her garden. (My personal thing, always compliment passionate gardeners,street musicians and artists ). If you're ever in Potsdam, say hi and have a chat with this beautiful soul, her name is Eleanora Terrelonge Griffith de Franke. Her mom, who came from Costa Rica, worked as a personal assistant for Eleanor Roosevelt for 20 years, and name her after the smart and strong First Lady. Just call her Ellie and soak up her bright energy. I found a new friend, and that's been the best part of my trip to Europe.
