The GoFundMe link is in @justineslashagnes bio. °️ ° ° ° ° ° ° #Repost @justineslashagnes ・・・ Hi everyone, this is Furball. He's a lovely boy that lives at my work. I work at a community based psychiatric facility, it's run by psychiatric nurses such as myself. Limited funds, as it's a government facility. Furball is about 15-16 years old, he's lived here for about 14 years. Over the years various patients have taken him on as their cat, but he is essentially cared for by the staff. I myself buy him food out of my own money. If you knew him, you would too! He's beautiful, he's such a relaxed cat. Definitely a lap cat too Furball had a checkup at the vet a few weeks ago and she found a lot of problems with his teeth. He has only his top 2 canines at the front and because of this his bottom lip curls in. This has caused 1 of his top teeth to puncture his lip creating a hole. Chronic ulcers have since developed in the area. His remaining back teeth have significant wear and nerve damage. What this all means is he has a lot of pain and difficulty eating. He has lost about 1kg in the last 12 months, which is not a lot but he's elderly and the vet would prefer he be more plump. The vet has recommended removal of all his teeth, eliminating pain and discomfort which will in turn improve his appetite and quality of life. Cost is approx $500-$600, which is difficult to find in our limited work budget. I would pay myself but i have cats that require special care and i just can't spare it. I would so appreciate anything anyone can spare, even if you just spread the word about darling Furball. He doesn't complain much, but it's heartbreaking to think of him being in pain.
