@siri_luther : The purpose of the ice bucket challenge is to create awareness in raising funds to fight ALS. As an alternative to donating money, you can help by dousing yourself with cold water.
I have mixed feelings regarding its effectiveness. There should be ways to create awareness without wasting water and patting yourself on the back with public praise at the same time.
