@tayastarling : Day 86/100: Didn't get to post last night because I was in so much pain. Did manage to take this picture though (shows how hopeful I was that my severe stomach pains were just an ulcer...) checked into Emergency Room number one at 9pm in pain. After poking prodding & blood tests they said I probably had appendicitis but would need a CT scan to verify. On to Emergency Room number two. Now in much more pain, more poking & prodding & needles (have I ever mentioned I'm scared of needles?) & blood tests followed by a CT scan... I was the lucky owner of an infected appendix An hour later at 1:30am in the worst pain I've ever felt they ushered me in to prep for surgery. This is probably a good time to mention how much I dislike hospitals. It's hard for me to visit people in hospitals let alone be the one admitted... I was terrified. I've never been through surgery, never slept at a hospital. But the always amazing Mama Starling stood by my side until they ushered me into the OR. And as she pointed out, at least I looked nice because I got my hair & nails done earlier in the day - the eternal optimist that one. So. Surgery went well they say. I woke up in the recovery room at 4:30 in a daze with a little button to push whenever I felt pain. And who would not call this a happy day? I am ALIVE. The human body is resilient & I am strong. The doctors said I should recover quickly because I eat clean & work out Feeling extremely blessed that it wasn't something worse, that I have access to good clean hospitals, & amazing people in my life #100HappyDays
