Day 20/100: Spent half the day exploring the Grand Bazaar with Mama Starling admiring (& buying) all the beautiful Turkish goods. The "shopper pick up lines" here have to be my favorite: "Hello, is it me you're looking for?" "How many camels do you want for your daughter?" "Let me show you paradise" "Would you like to buy something you don't need today?" "Come in, we have everything except for customers." "Welcome welcome everything almost free" The locals have been extremely helpful & sweet- including Hapi (bottom left) who for the past 10+ years has been selling his jewelry in the same shop his dad owned for 45 years before him.
