@tayastarling : In the madness of today's news I'd like to take a moment & remind you all that today, Dec. 1st is World AIDs Day. AIDs is an entirely preventable disease and yet more than 35.3 million people worldwide are currently living with HIV and 2.1 million of these are adolescents (10-19 years). There are several ways to prevent HIV transmission: •practice safe sexual behaviors such as using condoms; •get tested and treated for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV; •avoid injecting drugs; •If using needles to administer medicine always use new and disposable needles and syringes; •ensure that any blood or blood products that you might need are tested for HIV. And spread the word. Together with effort & consciousness we can eradicate AIDs ️ #WorldAIDsDay #FightAIDs #GetTested #Dec1
