@tayastarling : Up before dawn again today to drive just over 2 hours outside of Bangkok to Rayong Beach where we hopped on a local speedboat out to Koh Mannai where I found a very special place. All alone on Koh Mannai is a sea turtle sanctuary. Established by HM the Queen, the sanctuary has been there for years helping preserve and protect sea turtles, dolphins, whales, & endangered marine life of all species. Today with the help of Fruttare & Sudsupda Magazine through their คนสวยช่วยทำดี campaign we were able to donate 50,000 baht. But what meant just as much to me was meeting the beautiful people who live on the tiny island and sacrifice their lives to help the sea turtles who can't help themselves. And of course getting to meet the over 300 turtles who live there wasn't too bad either if you're interested in helping, and I hope you are, you can check out www.emcor.go.th for more information or www.worldwildlife.org to find a place to help near you.
