@loukgolflg : Is it necessary for Thai teachers who teach English to be able to speak English? I know that lots of teachers aim at students achieving high scores in exams; they teach their students tips and techniques to 'do the exams'. I don't deny that good scores are a good thing. However, wouldn't it be nicer if our students obtained both good scores and the ability to communicate? I understand that many teachers have never lived abroad and don't really have the chance to talk to native speakers. But in a world of technology, there are hundreds of ways to enhance our speaking. We expect our students to be fluent in English... What about us? Is our English fluent enough? จำเป็นมั้ยที่ครูไทยที่สอนภาษาอังกฤษ ต้องสามารถพูดภาษาอังกฤษได้? ลูกกอล์ฟรู้ว่า ครูมากมายตั้งเป้าให้นักเรียนทำคะแนนได้มากๆ พวกเขาสอนเทคนิคและเคล็ดลับในการทำคะแนน ซึ่งไม่ปฏิเสธว่า คะแนนดีเป็นเรื่องดี แต่ มันจะดีกว่ามั้ย ถ้าเราสอนให้นักเรียนทำคะแนนได้ดี และ "สามารถสื่อสารได้ด้วย?" ลูกกอล์ฟเข้าใจว่า ครูผู้สอนจำนวนมาก ไม่เคยไปอยู่ต่างประเทศ และไม่ได้มีโอกาสในการพูดภาษาอังกฤษกับเจ้าของภาษา แต่ในโลกสมัยนี้ เทคโนโลยี มันไปถึงไหนแล้ว มันมีวิธีมากมายที่เราจะเสริมสร้าง ทักษะการพูดได้ เราคาดหวังให้นักเรียนของพวกเราใช้ภาษาอังกฤษได้คล่อง แล้วเราหล่ะ? เคยถามตัวเองมั้ยว่า ภาษาอังกฤษของเรา คล่องพอรึยัง? #ช่วยกันคนละนิด
