Maple is the biggest pup in her litter and is almost ready to find her forever home! Maple and her siblings came into rescue after it was discovered they were being sold by a breeder at well under a safe age to leave their momma. Now that they are safe, they are looking for loving families to call their own. She will be a BIG girl and will need an adopter to guide her from puppyhood to healthy adult. Mondays are like... ;
Today, we have a very special Happy Beginnings story to share with you. It’s one filled with the glitter of the Hollywood lights and even a red carpet!
The story starts off pretty sad, with little Max abandoned and alone. He was found as a stray in a field and then brought to an animal shelter in a part of California where animal homelessness is not uncommon. But what is uncommon is Max’s amazing turn-around. We’re talking a story fit for the big screen. You see, little Max not only found love when he was adopted by Kelly - an advertising executive at Siltanen & Partners, a firm that works with Coldwell Banker. He also found himself starring in a commercial for Coldwell Banker’s newest passion project, Homes for Dogs, which will make its television tonight during the Academy Awards! Yes, that’s right - Max will be starring in a commercial during the Oscars! How’s that for awesome?
We’re so happy for Max and Kelly and we can’t wait to see his adorable face on TV! Watch the Oscars tonight and be on the lookout for Max in the new @ColdwellBanker commercial. #HomeRocks;
Will you be watching the #Oscars? If you weren't planning on it, here's why you might want to change your mind.
We will be co-hosting a live Twitter party with @coldwellbanker tomorrow during the show! We'll be talking about the nominees, award winners, their pets, and (drum roll, please!)... the very first televised airing of the new Homes For Dogs Project commercial, which features adorable dogs and Adopt-a-Pet.com.

Nate is just TOO cute!! We can’t handle it! How about you?
Today’s Five O’Clock Cuteness is Nate, an incredibly cute 1 year old Pekingese / Tibetan Spaniel mix available for adoption in Garfield Heights, Ohio from Canine Lifeline. This boy is simply loaded with personality and smarts. And to top that, he’s a total ham for the camera! Just look at his photos for evidence of his love of posing. Nate gets along well with other dogs but would also do well as an only dog in his new home. He will very happily entertain himself with a toy. And if that toy squeaks, he will entertain you with the most adorable little head tilts. For more on Nate, please visit his Adopt-a-Pet.com profile: http://bit.ly/1Lfz8kf;

Casper is so angelic. How handsome is this boy?
Today’s Five O’Clock Cuteness is Casper, a gorgeous long-haired male cat available for adoption in Knoxville, Tennessee from Friends of Rescue - Knoxville, TN. Casper is 12 pounds of pure charm - and fluff! He seems to have never been an inside cat before, but he is sure loving all the comforts of a real home. Now all he needs is a family! His favorite part of his new indoor life is belly rubs. He simply adores to be pet and to be the recipient of affection. This boy is ALL love! If you’ve been part of the Adopt-a-Pet.com community for a while, you’ve probably noticed that we do a lot of posting about love and how adopting a pet has helped people and animals to find it in one another. We are always talking about the awesome people-pet relationships that are formed when folks search on our site and discover a shelter pet near them. But what about the bonds that happen at the shelter between the animals themselves? You can imagine how terrifying it must be for an animal who has been dumped at a shelter, all alone, filled with feelings of uncertainty and “what ifs.” Right?
This is the story of Miley, a scared pup who found herself in that exact situation. Knowing her fear and emotional pain, another pup named Marley decided to help her through what was surely the scariest time in her young life. We don’t want to spoil it for you, but it’s pretty amazing.
